Having been featured previously in .NET magazine (@netmag), Stage Two’s Creative Director, Paul Welsh, was asked back to submit his ideas for this month’s Design Challenge.
The brief was to ‘design a website for a climbing centre, which might be in an interesting building such as an old church, or maybe it’s an outdoor centre in a beautiful area’. Designers were also asked to provide all the relevant information, such as opening times & prices.
Paul opted for an intense navy and orange colour scheme with inspiration taken from outdoor brands like The North Face. He aimed the website at adults who, working full-time, would make the most of the 24/7 opening hours of the centre. With this in mind, the website is simple, clear and cool.
Paul has been Stage Two’s Creative Director for 18 months. He’s previously worked with some world-renowned brands such as Universal Studios Florida, Guiness World Records, Celebrity Cruises and, most recently, Cambridge Assessment.
See Paul’s designs in the September 2016 issue of NET magazine (page 53!).
